Story
This story begins the moment I became curious about the very nature of time. From the start, I was captivated by everyday mechanical devices: the flip clocks in subway stations switching precisely with the click of gears, pulleys and belts powering massive mechanical arms in old factory workshops, and the pendulum in clock towers swinging steadily back and forth. I thought: why not draw inspiration from these mechanical beauties and replace traditional markers with blocks of color, allowing time to emerge through shifts in color and structure? Thus, a series of sketches exploring rotating discs, linear sliding mechanisms, and segmented color blocks materialized, illustrating a way to read time that transcends conventional hands. These scattered sketches and conceptual models lingered in my mind, prompting me to ask: could time transcend the confines of a flat surface and a ticking seconds hand?
Years passed, and as the boundary between tradition and innovation blurred, I remained enchanted by the possibilities of “unconventional time display”—whether it be retrograde, roaming, jumping, or mysterious dials, each served as a source of inspiration. It wasn’t until that decisive night in 2023 that I finally sat at my computer and worked through the night to render the orbital concept into a digital model for the first time. Amid the precise interplay of gears and the formation of a circular path, the first prototype of Secret Orbital was born in stunning form.
Before this moment, I had spent twenty years deeply immersed in the watch industry, gaining hands-on experience in engineering development, product design, and project operations. From movement tolerance testing to 3D case modeling, from mechanism verification to 3D animation demonstrations, every detail on the campaign page embodies my personal dedication and craftsmanship: an ultra-thin case, a curved sapphire crystal, a 316L stainless steel shell, Swiss Super-LumiNova luminous markers, a Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement, and a premium calfskin strap.

In a conscious departure from traditional watchmaking, the design intentionally omits a second hand — inviting the wearer to embrace a more meditative, expansive sense of time beyond each fleeting tick. This choice not only enhances the dial’s purity but also deepens the watch’s conceptual narrative, turning timekeeping into a reflective journey.
The case is crafted from meticulously machined stainless steel and topped with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, ensuring both durability and crystal-clear visibility. Each dial version unfolds its own story — a puzzle, a voyage, or a secret — encouraging personal interpretation and connection.
